Look Guys,
It's this simple. Soccer for kids mass books fields. They do not turn them back. If in the case a field is double booked by the city, someone has to move.
We being MEN and adults, should be easier to move than upset moms and super excited kids.
George McDowell is a minute away or just 100 yards down the bike path.
I believe all weekend games will still be at Charring Cross. All Weekday games in May and June will be at McDowell.
However,.....In July and August and September all games schedulled for Charring Cross should be played at Charring Cross.
I, on behalf of the exec, received the permits from the city, and have subsequently talked to the Prez. I believe this info is accurate.
Apparently the Prez is in the midst of reinstalling his email, so he should I would hope, verify this, upon getting it installed. I agree this is nonsensical not knowing where to go.... I just drive by both to see where the pads are...
Therefore, Weekday games should be played at McDowell until July 1st, upon which time they will revert back to Charring Cross.
Weekend games schedulled for Charring Cross will be played at Charring Cross.
Should little Kids soccer displace us, try and be nice and be willing to move, if the Ref says so.
Furthermore, the Refs should, in the case of rain, move the field to preserve it. If that is the case at CC, it will be in the open field area. The same applies on a weeknight, if at McDowell, you maybe moved back to the open area at CC.
I will address this concern atour exec meeting on Friday on all of your behalves
And Dennis, you sure seem to have access to the internet now!

Easy Spidy. Shit. There were no freaking complaints there, simply inquiries. Forums said to keep posted for updates. We all know how the city screwed us a weee bit. Looks like a few teams just want to know where to go. Even though they are opny a few minutes apart, it may cost someone a delay of game penalty or two if dudes are late.

Spider: You started with "it's this simple" then started with a long tiraid. I am peed off with these soccer kids screwing our football.(sorry Brad G. but it's true)This has been going on for years. This soccer is such a lame sport anyway. What other sport restricts you from using all of your extremities.

the field situation is a non issue to me, and i'm sure, to many others. besides the fact that the executive is plotting to not tell teams their games are postponed due to conditions beyond the exec's control, i think this issue is handled very well. i'm not sure what else you could be expected to do. maybe if you got everyone in the league a pager, no, a laptop, so that a mass email could be sent out in the event of inclement weather and/or poor field conditions. every player would be expected to carry the laptop with them at all times on game days, and teams would need to pay the new league fees of $11,349 per team. each laptop would be set to have mazur's touch football blog as it's browser's home page, as well as that being the only page, other than wtfl pages, it could view. of course, each laptop would be emblazoned with the player's team colours, a free service provided by the volunteer board.
with all of the neurons firing to come up with this idea, my iq is now 186.

There is a map to the field if you click on the field on the schedule page.
