Conquest on the USA map in MLB The Show looks messy at first, but it's really a numbers game with a bit of nerve. You're not trying to win every little fight on the border. You're trying to build one snowball and roll it across the country. Players who care about team building, rewards, and market grinding often think about resources the same way they think about MLB 26 stubs: don't waste them, stack them where they matter, and use them when the return is clear.
Start with one moving army
The biggest mistake people make is spreading fans all over the map. It feels safer, sure, but it slows you down fast. Pick a corner start if you can, because corners are easier to protect. The Pacific Northwest is a clean place to begin. From there, take empty spaces and one-fan tiles as quickly as possible. Don't worry about making every border pretty. Just keep one lead tile loaded with fans. When your attack run runs out of steam, pause and jump to the reinforce phase. Put everything back into that same lead tile, then push again.
Use the reinforce phase like a fuel stop
Reinforcements are where the map starts to tip in your favour. The more territories you own, the more fans you get. Early on, that boost feels small. After a few turns, it starts to feel huge. You might begin with a stack of five or six million fans, then suddenly you're working with twenty or more. That's when the map opens up. Drop fresh fans onto the front of your push, not on random tiles behind you. If a tile isn't about to attack or defend something important, it probably doesn't need extra fans right now.
Cut lanes before chasing logos
Strongholds are tempting because they've got the team logos and the big reward feel. Still, charging straight into them too early can burn time. A smarter move is to sweep around them first. Take the nearby open spaces. Block the paths they'd use to expand. Once a stronghold is boxed in, it can't grow much, and it becomes just another fight waiting to happen. You'll also pick up more territories while you're doing this, which means more reinforcements on the next turn. It's not flashy, but it works.
Keep the pressure on the board
Once your lead stack is big, don't let it sit around. Move in lines, carve off sections, and keep joining your captured tiles so rivals have fewer places to slip through. If you hit resistance, stop before you drain the stack too low. Reinforce, then go again. That rhythm matters more than playing every game manually. Sim the safe fights when the numbers are heavily in your favour, and save your real effort for strongholds or close battles. Some players also plan their time around rewards and roster upgrades, the same way they might buy cheap MLB 26 stubs to speed up other parts of Diamond Dynasty. Play the map with patience, keep feeding the front, and the USA board becomes much less intimidating.
