WTFL Division 3 Championship, 5:45 October 20, Canad Inns Stadium, Winnipeg, Canada.

On a fog enshrouded, dark and dreery night, the WTFL's # 1 and #2, Div 3 teams, lined up to battle it out, on the sacred battlefield, known as CanadInns Stadium. Once, a long timeago, when the sounds of prairie thunder (horses at Polo Park race Track) could be heard, and more recently, where and when, the very night before, the professional Winnipeg Blue Bombers, slaughtered a defenceless and offenceless Calgary Stampeder team,..... "alot" to "not very much," it was our weekend warriors, "time to shine!!!"

As the Toronto Maple, Leafs were losing yet another game, the tensions rose at the home, that Jack built. This game was billed as "the Skilled vs. the Willed"...the Rods vs.the Rifles!.

Brandt Cook led all scorers, for Morningwood, 16 points (Where does that name come from?) Jon Franklin, with 6, and # 55 with 2 points and number 15 with the other TD, led the Rods alumni.(Morningwood) Love that name!!!(whatever it means???)

Replying for the River City Hitmen, who left way too many points out on the field and not in the "red" zone, was Phil Chan with 12 points, and # 24 with 6.

QB, Scott McArthur, of Morningwood, will now have to throw away his "I'm just a virgin" Quarterback talk. S&M won two passing titles this year, and led his Morningwood, to nirvana.....and now Div 2 awaits....

Final score Morningwood 30 - River City Hitmen 20
