Hey Moms and dads, boys and girls, University students, engaged peoples, dating peoples, people who need more money peoples, people who think we should work on saving the environment, and those that live in St. James.....ok and anywhere else in Winnipeg(not St. Vital though)....

If ya want a great summer job, for those little ones, or, for any of those who want to make a little extra something (cash to buy) for that special person in their life, this reffing gig can do it for ya.

Yo, Yo, man,... Check it out Dawg! (I have to stop watching American Idol!)

Here's what the Colonel, Headmaster, Prim-o, Numero Uno, Head Official, Brad Kelm had to say:

"The rate scale for last year was $30-$25-$21. (Head Ref - BackJudge - Headlinesman) Bonus bucks for the fiends who reffed a lot are as follows - After your 75th game you got +$2.00 for every position. After your 100th game, you got +$3.00 and after 125 games, you got +$5.00. "

Just a note, (don'ttell the "powers that be" but the sideline person, "Headlinesperson," has to know only @ 4 calls during 90% of any one game. (Yes I said 4 calls)

1.) Offside - - If you are new to the game and don't know it, we'll teach ya.

2.) Pass Interference - we'll teach ya.

3.) Person was tagged and the spot where it happened. Call 'em as ya see 'em.

4.) pass was complete or incomplete. see above! (We'll teach ya cool signal, that you could also use at an airport to land planes!!!) Sort of!!

The other officials, have prime responsibility for the rest of the calls. (You can help, but like I said,it's basically 4 things. And I know, that anyone who tries playing touch football can remember 4 things.)

So, basically, if ya are a Level one sideline person (Headlinesman) and ya reffed 5 games you would earn ????? That's right 5 x $20.00 = $100.00....No it's 5 x $21.00 = ? Ah ha....Gotcha! (I don't have my calculator handy so.....)

And this year, the WTFL is going to train you for free. Normally that cost $35.00 and would come out of your pay for games worked. Not this year. This is the year of the "Nouveau Ref." The "grand referosso!"

Finally, as a special, "to get you going," we will introduce a limited timed offer,.....the "Sweetheart special." That is, when you sign up for 10 assignments, or two weekend days, you will have enough pesos to take you and the special someone out for dinner. ( I mean your significant other, not Brad!)

OK, there are other reasons to ref,also,..... as noted.... if you get to be the Head dude (Head ref Level 3)ya make $30.00/game.

Plus, ya give back to Nature, and help reduce Greenhouse Gas emmissions, True!!!!!(in that other refs don't have to comeout and ref, as they drive their luxury model cars, because they earned so much from reffing.)

OK,..... and also because,..... if ya check the Head refs Birth certificates, they are all getting old.

So actually when ya yell at them, they can't even hear ya, and when ya say "what are ya blind????" Well, yes, some of them are.

So, for all those great reasons
1.) Summer job
2.) Take you know who (Brad????) out for dinner
3.) Save the World
4.) Keep the older refs alive, as they don't have to ref so much.

Get your hands on some greenbacks!

OK You're interested???? Check it out Dawg.....

April 25th, 6:30 - 10:30 pm - CanadInns polo park, followed by 3 hours at Tiajuana yaght Club (Optional)and then an hour and a half at Sturgeon Creek, the next day on the field, and you qualify for the "Sweetheart special" This will be the level One portion of the teaching Sideline people how to ref clinic. (Touch Football headlinesman- good anywhere in Canada, and the Northern Territories.

(Earlier on Saturday, I'll also teach a level 2 for those that want some more donaros. Finally, from @ 11- 1:00 and then on the field as well, the level 3's will be indoctrinated....in case you are interested.)

And remember, pesos earned, can be used anywhere in the free world, for anything.

For more info, send the carrier pigeon my way (send me an e-mail)

Let's get it going

Remember the buzz words for 2008 "Nouveau ref"
and I'll throw in an acronym, so you can remember, S.O.S.
- "SAVE OUR SENIORS" (Refs) :)
