Is a player eligible to play in a game if his insurance waiver form is signed and in league hands but his name is still not on a teams roster due to the player's negligence of not signing up as a WTFL website user?

Players are considered registered when they have their roster into the league 24 hours prior to their first game. Web site sign up is desireable, but it is not the defining criteria of registration.

Thanks Darrell. That clarifies things for several teams I'm sure. All we can do is keep reminding new players to register on site. Otherwise they will not get their stats.

i have a few players who just came in the city and want to play on my team. They need waiver forms in order to play correct? and also where do i bring them?

The column on the left of this screen has a section called forms and files. That's where the secretary keeps her filing cabinet. Download fill out and mail in Voila! One stop registration for only 57 or is it 59 cents?

The registration on the website isn't optional. It's the only place where the rosters are stored, so I'm not sure what you're talking about Darrell. Come on, I'm not even on the exec and I know that one.

Huh? No No No, we collect, tabulate, and file all the waivers that are, our "leagal proof" that people are registered. I AM on the exec, and I DO know that one!!! :) We have a lot of smart people with keen legal attributes you know? (and they are pretty smart also) How do you think we keep track of those illegal multi-team guys? and those Higher guys that have to play half their team's lower games to be eligible for play-offs.

It's the paper chase that is the final say. A file for every team, anda team for every file right here next to my keyboard. Do you have a webcam I'll show you. That's what I am talking about! (heh! heh!)

Well you should probably change what you post on the website then:

On the homepage:

Roster: A minimum roster of 10 people, submitted online, is required at the time of registration in order to be approved. Finalized rosters will be required by the start of the season, May 10th, after which league approval will be required.

We actually need some help in this administrative area. Did you want to volunteer, to verify the waivers and the website? We will get those waivers to you and you can go through them to make sure all the players are on the website. Like the waivers that are coming in now. After the May deadline.

That would be great!

What's your addy and we'll courier the 2 boxes over.:)

Thanks

Rosters are required on the site, it is not simply to track stats. This was in place previously and should remain in place this year. This is how the league tracks, eligible players (if you're on a roster and we've received no waiver for example) and also to track multi team players, including eligibility for playoffs.

If you're having trouble getting your guys to sign up on the site, you can do it for them. It takes about 1 minute and you only need to do it once in your lifetime. At their convenience they can then go in and add to or change their profile.

I got a few questions here about rosters:

1. Is there a fax number or an address i can send some waiver forms too? i have a few guys who just registered with my team.

2. The guys i have who are just registering now, i wont be able to get there waiver forms sent in time for our first game which is the 22nd but they are available to play. Is there anyway i can just bring them to the game and show the refs or something?

1. You can mail the waivers in to the WTFL P.O. Box. Check the Executive Link for P.O. box information.

2. League Policy is that Waiver forms must be into league 24 hours before a player's first game. Looks like your new guys will have to sit this next game out.
