Air Assault vs. Maniax
A classic touch football game played today at Tec Voc. The Maniax over came a 20-0 first quarter deficit to take a 21-20 lead at half time. The lead then exchanged atleast 4 times with Air Assault scoring the go ahead touchdown with 7 seconds remaining. Final score was I think 35-30 for Air Assault. Shane Munson and Jessie Clarke both put on an awesome aerial attack. It was a fun game to watch and was in doubt till the final play. Kudos to both teams for a well played game. Looking forward to playing these guys again.

personally for it to be a rivalry it has to be more than a close game. im a member of air assault and i feel more of a rivalry atmosphere with southside (not even in our division anymore) and we only played them once last year in a meaningless game. there has to be trash talking and desire not only to beat the other team but to humiliate that team. i can tell you that our sidelines had no such feelings during the game against the maniax. Now, i give props to jesse for making me look like a 80 year old man in a wheelchair but he didnt put on an aerial display. he has great mobility but for anyone who watched the game they would agree that 75% of his completions were jump balls that the defensive player had better position of making a play on the ball than the offensive player. i strongly believe that when our defense starts playing to its potential (this includes myself) the results will be more in favor of what that first quarter was (20-0). i could be wrong maybe a rivalry will develop with the maniax but theres no way you can say that after the first game.
looking forward to another div 4 season your friendly neighborhood pass rusher, mike #9

Whoa Whoa Whoa! 75% of my completions were jump balls?! What game were you watching bud, I recall throwing only 3 or 4 jump balls that my recievers made awesome plays on. I agree your players did have better position on the ball. But its the passes and catches that count. And for a defense that is really good, damn, you guys give up alot of points in short periods of time. Maniax and Air Assault will be a rivalry in my books.
