Messages for Current Game Results

Although entering stats takes a lot of time it only takes a few minutes to enter the game results. It would make our web site much more relevant and useful if we could click on games results a couple of hours after the last games are played and see all the results. Stats can then be entered at the officials convenience. Can anything be done to improve this situation ? Everyone wants to know the game results the same day they happen.

Is there such a thing as a "hit list" in the WTFL? Do we have any ex-cons playing who might like to take this on?
Nicole? What was that story about kneecaps you were telling us last exec meeting?
Mel, why don't we get all the winning team reps to call you, with the score, and you can post it on the web site.
What's your number?

This comes up every year without fail.
If we are just concerned about getting the scores on quick - what about a person from each team that has some rights on the site.
The home team of each game's "score person" posts the score for that game ?
I am more then willing to do that for my team.

We have about 20 people who can enter stats. They usually do that after a max of 2 days. That's plenty of people.
Mel's question was about scores.
Let's get someone to take the scores and they can enter those on a nightly basis.
Failing that Team Reps can enter their scores on the Forum, and one of the league appointed stats people can take it from there.
Simple. Secure, and efficient. Do you think the winning Tem rep can do that?
Let's see tonite

I like the posting in the forum idea.
Another option might be to have a designated phone number to call with the scores of the games.
After the game, the team rep(winning) would call the number(Mel's house) and leave a message. Then whoever is designated to put them up would check the messages and do so accordingly.
Just a suggestion.

Making a forum topic for that seems like the easiest fix. If teams can't get online to post, maybe have a volenter from each divison do it for them. I would Volenter for my division (div 6) to post scores for other teams. Im on the computer all the time and its no problem if u wanna contact me to post your scores for you. Just another suggestion lol.
Peace

How about the refs do it? if it's too hard, give it to a team captain. For those refs, or team captains willing to enter game cards that need stats privileges you can email website@wtfl.ca to obtain them. Unless we have some greedy lying stats hoggers, I'm sure we can trust teams to get the job done.

ok well whatever lol. im confused now too. anyway, if u want to set up some sort of score only section for fast scores, ill volenter to recive phone calls from my divison. and submit them accordingly. why not get volenters to do that from other divisons, takes the phone calls off mel who asked a good question and basically got shot down. just trying to help out.

The folk who enter stats are not paid. Let them enter at their will. Those of you who really want to know the stats that bad probably already know what your stats are anyway. The game results i can understand, but who gives a s&*t about individual stats. might as well get rid of individual stats posting completely. All that matters is standings.

many in the league do care about seeing their stats throughout the season. if you don't care, then ignore them. The people that enter stats were originally the refs and yes, they are paid. People in the league have offered to enter stats for the refs because of the many that care and enjoy the stats tracking and are willing to help out. Player of the week is also based on this as well as awards for division leaders at the end of the season.
Getting scores up only takes a minute and anyone willing to help out is more than welcome and appreciated.
Nolan, the reschedules are being done as we speak. should be out shortly.
