1155 Posts OK OK, I take it back....You guys are great! You do know your beers......but you're missing one (that sponsored the league)from about 15 years ago. Bud is Labatts and Moosehead is Labatt's also!! OK, so now you'll get it right?

1155 Posts OV, was Carlings. I shouild know, I spent two summers working at the "brewery" on Redwood. Free beer on the breaks. Some of the "old-timers" would down about 4 in 15 minutes. I tried it once and was half-cut for the second part of my shift! But the plant wasn't air-conditioned, so sometimes it was a sweat shop. The brand you are missing....... You guys have all drank it, as it was a cheaper alternative. I think it's still around, but I doubt anyone prefers it. It seemed to be a great laxative. They sponsored us once I believe, probably for the Spring Tournament, with a bright yellow shirt. I have not seen anyone select it. I also believe it had a Yosemite Sam like chrarcter as it's label/logo. (maybe we put that on it)Finally,it only had a regular brand and a "hi-test" brand that was basically un-drinkable.

1155 Posts JaRule.... It's been established that this is not only the longest trivia question post in the history of 2008 Mazur/WTFL trivia...amazing ..????Yes....I can't believe, our well embibed membership can't believe what they drank back in the eirly 90's.. Now, I have actually shared the answer with a few of you who caught me in a serious state of disequilibreum, whereupon I revealed the answer, cause it was just so much fun.... OK So we know it's Carling-O'keefe, Molson and Labatt's. Some of the dudes are giving answers like brands....(I would have thought we'd know brands from breweries, but maybe that's just my bartender background imposing it self on the citizens of the world, ...er Winnipeg.) OK ...not. If you do look in the above posts I have actually told you what the brewery/beer was. Ya just have to read carefully

        134 Posts Labatt, Molson(Carling)and Columbia(Kokanee)is my final answer. Carling O-Keefe can't be a 4th because it's actually a Molson company.The Hi Test(Black Label)you are referring to was Black Ice.

19 Posts Great Western Brewery. I know since i negotiated the deal. All I remember is people who had 1 beer in their hand did not want another. I remember one agm and there was at least 60 sitting in the tub and this was after 4 hours of drinking. Darrell I'm on the board.
