This is a reminder to all teams that players must play 6 regular season games to be eligible for playoffs.
The playoff schedule will be released soon.

Just a quick question, but is the 6 games really necessary?
Prior to the WTFL using the multi team rule, all teams had to do was have the player on their roster before a certain day in order to be eligible. Then the league added the multi team rule, the 6 game rule was added to prevent teams from stacking their team with players from other divisions prior to playoffs.
Just wondering.

The multi-team rule was 1/2 of the season so 9 games not 6 and only applied to multi-team players. Is the 6 game rule necessary? Not sure, but it's something we can look at changing back for next year if needed.

Forgot to answer your question Jason. Not sure which weekend we'll start things up yet because of all the rain we've had we might want to use more of september than originally intended (if we have more rainouts).
We have a board meeting on thursday where the playoff schedule will be approved and then I can release it shortly after that. Essentially it's a matter of which days we want for championships and then we'll just work backwards from there.
There was some arguing last year on the forum about early playoffs vs late. I think we have a solution that should make a lot of people very happy. Stay tuned on friday for more info.
