The WTFL will be holding it's AGM and registration night on April 4th. Details to follow in the upcoming weeks.
Access to Optimist will no longer be available via the Perimeter due to construction. Please use Portage to Sturgeon or Cavalier to get access to Saskatchewan ave. Please pass this on to your teammates!
1) The Profit goes to the Players- The WTFL is a non-profit league with all revenues directed back to the game. The WTFL offers Winnipeg's only touch football tournament, Winnipeg's only Women's Divisions and have trained and acredited almost every certified touch football official in the province. Since 1974 the WTFL is the home for touch football in Manitoba. The WTFL is run by a board of volunteers who's interest is offering a fair and balanced league for the development of touch football. All players are welcome to join the WTFL Board. 2) The WTFL is home to Winninpeg's only true Elite Division- For over 35 years the best teams choose the WTFL. The WTFL Elite Division trophy is the ultimate goal for Touch Football in Manitoba. 3) Scheduling- -The WTFL focuses on schedule requests
4) All WTFL officials are Nationally Certified- Trained by Darrell Mazur- 'Manitoba's elder statesman of officiating'. Darrell has reffed 1000's of games including at Canada's National Tournament of Championships ("TOC"). Not only is he a great official but also a school teacher- who understands how to train and teach people. *The WTFL offers Free officials training each season 5) The Best Fields in the City- -All Championship games are played at Canadinns Stadium
6) The WTFL offers Multi-Team Play with Competitive Balance- -Teams do not have to worry about Upper Division players dropping down in mid season 7) The WTFL is for all Players- The WTFL is the only league with both a Women's Division and Women's Officials. 8) 18 Full Length Games- The WTFL offers an 18 game season with Full-Length games with true 20 Minute Quarters- no time shaving! Founded in 1974 by former Winnipeg Blue Bomber Don Jonas, the WTFL is a not-for-profit league run by a volunteer board. The Women’s Division of the WTFL was formed in 2005, which contributed in Manitoba’s successful bid for the national touch football “Tournament of Champions” in 2006. The WTFL prides itself on providing Men and Women both competitive and recreational touch football with “the best game day experience”.
